Research Associate-British Heart Foundation
About Me
I completed my undergraduate degree in Physiology at the university of Glasgow. My final year project with Prof Godfrey Smith focused on electrophysiology in cardiomyocytes which inspired me to pursue a career in cardiac research. Subsequently, I began a BHF 1+3 PhD programme at the University of Manchester. My PhD investigated the effects of organic pollutant Phenanthrene on cardiac structure and electromechaical function. I am research associate funded by the British Heart Foundation to continue to study the effects of Phenanthrene.
